Shofar In A Park – East Melbourne Synagogue

Sounds of the Shofar in your Park. This year; Carlton Gardens, Fitzroy Gardens or make a request

The Shofar will be sounded in three inner city locations in inner Melbourne (at least) on the second day of Rosh Hashanah, Sunday 17th September. This will afford you the opportunity to hear Shofar even if you cant make it to Synagogue during the day.

We are offering the sounding of the shofar in three locations:

Carlton: Carlton Gardens Duck pond Nicholson St and Gertrude St – 1:40pm
Abbotsford: Dight Falls Reserve – 3pm
East Melbourne: Fitzroy gardens (Dolphin fountain in the middle of the gardens) 5:30pm
Coburg Lake: There is a chance to have a volunteer sound the shofar at Coburg Lake at 3pm. We need confirmations in order to proceed. Please register your interest and we will confirm before Rosh Hashanah starts.
