Celebrate the spirit and share in the joy of Purim with us by partaking in these 3 special events.
Melbourne's Synagogue in the City
Purim is a wonderful celebration of miracles, heroism and faith. Traditions of Purim include giving charity to the poor, special meals, reading the Purim story from a scroll, and giving food gifts to a friend. Children often dress up in fancy dress/costume and there is a general spirit of levity and joy in the air.
Please join us for one of our three Purim events:
Hamentasch Bake and Purim crafts for the whole family.
Sunday March 5 at 11am.
(There is a nominal charge of $10 per person /$15 per family for this event to cover the cost of food and supplies. Pay at the door or pay in advance by clicking through to our payment portal )
Purim Eve Megillah Reading.
Monday March 6 at 8:20pm.
The evening Megillah reading followed by a L’chaim and refreshments.
(This is a free event.)
Megillah, Lunch and Learn.
Tuesday March 7 at 1pm at 101 Collins St. (Exact location will be provided upon booking.)
