Shavuot 1st Night. Thursday 25 May 2023
On Thursday evening we will host learning and Torah discussions at the Shul from 8pm until midnight (and maybe even a bit later). There will be a a range of pre arranged and spontaneous Torah topics and Jewish texts. All are welcome but please let us know if you plan to come.
Shavuot 1st Day, Friday 26 May 2023
On Friday Morning, Shavuot Day 1, we will have services (10am) with the 10 commandments reading (11am), and a kiddush (12pm) including ice cream, blintzes and other treats for children and adults alike. We have arranged a special guest speaker who will tell us about the joys, challenges and practices of Jewish life growing up in Morocco including some insights into Shavuot.
Shavuot 2nd Day, Saturday 27 May 2023
On Shabbat Morning, Shavuot Day 2, we will have services (10am) recite the Yizkor Memorial at (11:20am). Another special kiddush (12pm). Ourspeaker at the kiddush will tell us about her recent challenging return to Eastern Europe to confront her Jewish roots, some dark family memories and a vanished world.
