Rintel’s Diner is Melbourne’s answer to the Thursday evening cholent culture of NYC- with bite, with spice, with joy.

The eatery is home to Jews and friends, both North and South.

Named for the shul’s very first Rabbi, Rintel’s will be a reliable spot for kosher eaters to come together before shabbes- to eat, to chat, to learn, to meet a new friend

And all for a good price.

With Chef Gitai at the helm, the Diner incorporates all the best parts of East and West.

All profits are reinvested in the shul to support local community programs and food provision.

It’s a mitzvah and a meal rolled into one.

As of November 2025, we also operate an outdoor space for delicious grilled food, drink and friendship, called “The Slab.” There is no need to reserve for the slab, simply walk-in order some of delicious Shnitzels/ Pastrami (and there is always a vegan and G/F option).
