Pesach is a festival of family, tradition and liberation. It is a time to be grateful for what we have and remember those that have less. In 2020 Pesach begins on the evening of Wednesday April 8th and I am sure many of you will sit down to a Seder with your family or friends. It would be our pleasure to host you at the Shul’s community Seder as well. The details will be available early in 2020 on our homepage.
As you probably know, the key tradition of Pesach is the removal of bread and leavened substances from your home. This often takes the form of a major clean-up where the remnants are either sold to a non Jew for the duration of Pesach (form is on website) or destroyed. The positive Mitzvah on Pesach is the consumption of Matzah on the first two nights of Pesach. As always, I am personally available to tend to your festival needs whether through guidance or Pesach provisions or just a box of Matzah—Just email or message me.
Over Pesach we will have several festival services including a Yizkor memorial service on the final day. I hope you will come along. If you would like to make a dedication in honour of a loved one please proceed to the donations page.
